Network connections delayed
Running Windows 11. Until a few days ago, my laptop would always boot up connected to the internet as soon as the desktop displayed. Suddenly it started booting up showing a globe icon in the systray Clicking on that icon pops up a solid black small window where things like wi-fi, bluetooth, airplane, etc would normally show. After 30 to 50 seconds, the globe turns into the wi-fi icon and it's connected to the internet. I've tried the few fixes I found on the web, but none work. How can I get the "instant" connection working again?

So I was having the same problem the past month. After all the above and several other potential fixes, which did not work, I finally found a solution:
Step-by-step instructions:
- Control Panel>Search for time in the top right search bar>Click Date and Time>Internet Time>Change Settings>Update Now
- Device Manager>Network adapters>Right Click your Adapter (mine was Intel Wi-Fi 6e...) and Uninstall Device.
- Do the Same for the Bluetooth Device in the same (Network adapters)
- Restart your Laptop
- Again Device Manager>Network adapters>Right Click your adapter and Install Device. The Bluetooth Device should have automatically installed the driver. Restart your computer.
- In the Taskbar, bottom right click on the globe icon for Wi-Fi and connect to your network, put in your password for your network and check click automatically. Now, all should function normally. But, to make sure:
- Restart your computer to ensure the same problems do not continue. Not sure which update caused this problem but resetting the time, network adapter and Bluetooth adapter together made sure all were in sync.
I also noticed that my startup is much faster and also browsing. Hope this solution helped. Thanks

Go to Settings (Windows key + I) > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset. Click on 'Reset now' to reset your network settings.

I already tried Network Reset. It didn't work either. Later today, I'm going to try deleting the contents of ProgramData/Microsoft/Wlansvc/Profiles (after making a copy) it's full of stuff. I think that would be a super Network Reset.

I meant to say ..../Profiles/Interfaces. That cleaned up the folder, but no change in the connection delay. It's as if the process of looking for available connections doesn't start until the desktop is displayed.

In Device Manager, update the wireless network adapter driver and disable the option that allows the computer to turn off this device to save power.

I already tried that. Didn't help. Here's what I can remember trying (nothing helped)
Disabled/Enabled network devices, reinstalled network devices, checked that WLAN service was automatic, Reset Network, Forgot then reconnected to my router, reset modem (BTW, my other computers are not having a problem), moved the DHCP stuff in BIOS to highest priority, ran the
netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew commands.
Uninstalled latest Windows update (KB5086672). Uninstalled the last Dell update (Dell Power Manager Service).
It is not as if it shows the nearby wi-fis available but not connected. The systray show the globe instead of the wi-fi icon. Clicking on is shows a black square. After several seconds, the bluetooth, airplane, etc shows up in the black square. 50 seconds later, the globe turns into the wi-fi icon and it automatically connects. This just started last Friday.

I have the same problem and it occurred in a similar time frame after updates. I have also been unable to fix it after trying suggestions above
