Microsoft Store web installation

Hi all,

Im asking myself some questions here about the installation about some games or appllication on the store website witch is https://apps.microsoft.com/

Some of them call up the store on pc (witch is block) and get no further... but if we install Candy Crush or Minecraft we can download all application and even play with it with the org e-mail.

So my question if we block the url domain in Defender does it block also something else? because we setup auto-update of our apps in intune.

Thanks for advice.

The fact that you can install and play Candy Crush and Minecraft with your organization's email suggests a different installation mechanism or that these specific applications might have a different way of bypassing or interacting with the blocked Store app.

Many apps listed on apps.microsoft.com are designed to be installed and managed through the Microsoft Store app on your PC. When you click "Get" on the website, it's essentially telling your browser to initiate a command that opens the Store app to handle the download and installation. If the Store app is blocked on your PC, this process stops there.
