Your hardware wouldn’t normally prevent you from reinstalling Windows, but “Clean rebuild” isn’t a standard Windows feature name. The exact steps depend on which program or guide uses that term.

If you mean resetting Windows and installing a fresh copy, you can do that on this PC. In Windows 11, open Settings > System > Recovery > Reset PC. In Windows 10, go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset this PC.

Choose Keep my files to retain personal files while removing installed apps and resetting settings, or Remove everything to remove personal files as well. Cloud download downloads a fresh Windows copy instead of relying on the local installation files.

Back up anything important first, even if you choose Keep my files, and save your BitLocker recovery key if encryption is enabled. Your mechanical hard drive may make the process slow, but it doesn’t stop you from doing it.
