iCloud for Outlook Incorrect Username or Password
I cannot see "Verify Account Information" anywhere on my iCloud Calendars. I also tried adding a new Calendar in case. Is there another switch elsewhere perhaps? I am using ios18 with iphone 12pro.
From about a week ago my Outlook 2016 calendars & contacts stopped syncing with my iPhone. I had several sessions with Apple support and they finally concluded that this was due to Microsoft "no longer supporting the basic authentication." I find that a bit odd.
On reading your message I'm guessing that you are syncing successsfully so Apple support's conclusion is incorrect.
I repaired Outlook, reinstalled icloud for windows multiple times, disabled and renabled the iCloud Outlook addin, without success. Icloud for windows sadly failed on "Calendars and Contacts" with the message "Incorrect Username Or Password. Your setup couldn't start because your username or password is incorrect. Go to icloud for windows sign out and sign back in. "
I know that my username and password are both correct.
Any help is appreciated.
rayb100 If you don't see "Verify Account" on your iPhone > Calendar screen, then the account is already verified.
The only other option then is to follow the steps in this thread to uninstall iCloud to remove it from Outlook and your computer, and then https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9pktq5699m62?hl=en-US&gl=US and reinstall it all. When you sign out of iCloud to do this, choose "Save a local copy of your calendars/contacts" (I did at least) or if you want, use Outlook to fist export them the calendar, and then your contacts to local files for a backup. Once iCloud is reinstalled and connected again, everything will sync back up.
