That's an elegant solution. I wouldn't have guessed that 64 bits would be the answer, but then again, I also wouldn't have guessed that the cached iCloud password would fail periodically during Windows upgrades. I'd say that's a friendlier option than the 22 steps!
jmcrawf Switching from 32bit was not an easy solution you have to wipe out the office and then use the office deployment tool to install the 64bit office. after that, you need to delete the Outlook Cloud plugin (since it is 32bit) using your method, then reinstall iCloud.
I guess we have to move on. the 32bit version is not as well supported anymore as 64bit one
