How to share mobile screen on laptop from Windows 11?

Got my first Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra) and need some help to share mobile screen on the laptop. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to share or mirror my phone screen to my Windows 11 laptop. I've seen a few methods floating around, like using built-in features, third-party apps, or even wireless casting, but I’m not sure which one is the most straightforward and reliable.

Here's what I'm looking for:

  • A simple, step-by-step guide to get this working.
  • Free or low-cost solutions (because who doesn’t love free stuff?).
  • Bonus if it works wirelessly, but wired is fine too.

If you've done this before, could you share your experience to share mobile screen on laptop? Did you run into any issues, and how did you solve them?

Sharing mobile screen (iPhone) on a Windows 11 laptop is a bit more challenging compared to Android because Apple's ecosystem is designed to work seamlessly with other Apple devices (like MacBook and MacBook Air laptops). However, there are still a few methods you can use to mirror your iPhone screen to a Windows 11 laptop.

If you want a quick and easy solution for sharing mobile screenshot on laptop with iPhone, try LonelyScreen, a lightweight app that turns your Windows 11 laptop into an AirPlay receiver, allowing you to mirror iPhone screen to laptop. It supports iPhone 15/14/13/12/11/X and iOS 18/17/16/15/14/13.

Let’s talk about sharing your mobile screen on a Windows 11 laptop and the common errors you might run into. I’ve been through this myself, and trust me, there are a few pitfalls you’ll want to avoid when you share mobile screen on laptop.

    1. USB Debugging Not Enabled
What Happens: Your laptop won’t recognize your phone, and tools like Scrcpy or Vysor won’t work.
How to Fix: On your phone, go to Settings > About Phone > Build Number (tap it 7 times to unlock Developer Options). Then, go to Settings > System > Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.

    2. Wi-Fi Connection Issues
What Happens: Wireless mirroring fails because your phone and laptop aren’t on the same network or the connection is unstable.
How to Fix: Ensure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If the connection is weak, move closer to the router or use a USB connection instead.

    3. Using Outdated Software
What Happens: Older versions of Scrcpy or other tools may not support the latest Android or Windows 11 updates.
How to Fix: Always download the latest version of the tool you’re using. For Scrcpy, check the GitHub page for updates.

  • Windows 11 has a built-in app called Phone Link (previously Your Phone) that allows you to connect your Android phone to your laptop. It enables you to access your phone's notifications, messages, photos, and apps directly from your laptop. For Android devices, it also supports limited screen mirroring functionality. Here is how to share mobile screen on Windows 11/10 laptop with Phone Link:

    1.   On your Windows 11 laptop, open the Phone Link app (search for it in the Start menu).
    2.   Select Android and click Link your phone.
    3.   A QR code will appear. On your Android phone, download the Link to Windows app from the Play Store (if you don't already have it).
    4.   Open the app, sign in with your Microsoft account, and scan the QR code to pair your devices.
    5.   Once connected, go to the Phone Link app on your laptop and click Apps. Select the app you want to mirror, and your phone screen will appear on your laptop.

Please note. Phone Link doesn’t mirror your entire Android screen. Instead, it allows you to open and interact with specific apps on your phone from your laptop. Only supported apps (like Instagram, TikTok, or games) can be mirrored, and not all apps are compatible.

Sharing your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra screen to your Windows 11 laptop is a great way to interact with your phone’s content on a larger display. Let’s break it down into a simple, step-by-step guide, focusing on free and low-cost methods that ideally work wirelessly. If the built-in option doesn’t work as expected, here’s a popular app you can try Vysor, this is a free screen mirroring application that allows you to view and control your Android device from your computer. Here are the steps to share mobile screen on laptop

Step 1: Download and Install Vysor

    • On Your Laptop: Go to the Vysor website and download the app for Windows.
    • On Your Phone: Download the Vysor app from the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Enable USB Debugging on Your Phone

    • Go to Settings > About Phone > Software information and tap "Build number" seven times to enable
    • Developer Options. Then, head to Settings > Developer Options and toggle on "USB debugging."

Step 3: Connect Your Phone to the Laptop

    • Use a USB cable to connect your Galaxy S24 Ultra to your laptop.
    • Open Vysor on your laptop and your phone.
    • Vysor should recognize your phone and prompt you to start the mirroring process.

From my experience, the built-in method is great for ease of use, but if you run into issues, Vysor is stellar for quick and reliable mirroring. Just keep your phone’s software updated for the best compatibility.

let’s talk about sharing mobile screen on laptop! I’ve been through this myself, and while it can feel a bit tricky at first, it’s actually pretty straightforward once you know the right tools and steps. I’ll walk you through the best free methods. If you’re using a Windows laptop, Microsoft has a built-in feature called Projecting to This PC that lets you wirelessly share phone’s screen. It’s not perfect, but it’s free and works well for basic mirroring.

    1. Enable Projecting to This PC:

    • On your laptop, go to Settings > System > Projecting to This PC.
    • Set it to Available everywhere or Available everywhere on secure networks.

    2. Connect Your Phone:

    • On your Android phone, go to Settings > Connected Devices > Connection Preferences > Cast.
    • Select your laptop from the list of available devices.

    3. Start Mirroring:

    • Follow the prompts to connect and start mirroring your phone screen.

    My Experience with This Method:

    • It’s super easy to set up, but it only works if your laptop and phone support Miracast (most modern
    • devices do).
The connection can sometimes be a bit laggy, especially if your Wi-Fi isn’t great.
