let’s talk about sharing mobile screen on laptop! I’ve been through this myself, and while it can feel a bit tricky at first, it’s actually pretty straightforward once you know the right tools and steps. I’ll walk you through the best free methods. If you’re using a Windows laptop, Microsoft has a built-in feature called Projecting to This PC that lets you wirelessly share phone’s screen. It’s not perfect, but it’s free and works well for basic mirroring.
1. Enable Projecting to This PC:
- On your laptop, go to Settings > System > Projecting to This PC.
- Set it to Available everywhere or Available everywhere on secure networks.
2. Connect Your Phone:
- On your Android phone, go to Settings > Connected Devices > Connection Preferences > Cast.
- Select your laptop from the list of available devices.
3. Start Mirroring:
- Follow the prompts to connect and start mirroring your phone screen.
My Experience with This Method:
- It’s super easy to set up, but it only works if your laptop and phone support Miracast (most modern
- devices do).
The connection can sometimes be a bit laggy, especially if your Wi-Fi isn’t great.
