How to Remove False Virus Alerts Pop-ups on Windows 11
Hello,
I encountered the identical issue as you did yesterday, mirroring your screenshots. Despite trying methods like installing Malwarebytes, no software detected anything. However, I managed to solve it through trial and error, and it turned out to be quite straightforward.
To address the issue, open your browser settings – I personally use EDGE, then navigate to the option for Cookies and site permissions. Here's how you can do it:
1. Go to "Cookies and site permissions"
2. Select "Manage and delete cookies and site data"
3. At the top of the page, locate "Cookies and data stored"
4. Below that, find "Site permissions"
5. Then, navigate to "Recent activity"
This is crucial—focus on recent changes in site permissions. You will see a list of recent sites; go through each one and reset permissions by clicking on it. Do this for every site that has been causing issues.
Malware software didn't work in my case either, but once I completed this process, all the issues disappeared instantaneously. I genuinely hope this solution helps you too, knowing how frustrating such problems can be.

I had the same problem with Chrome browser. These steps worked for me but there were slight differences in the menus for the two windows PC I use. This is what if did on the one with the pop ups. I selected the three dots on the upper right side when in Chrome, then "Delete Browsing Data", "Basic or Advanced", "Cookies and other site data". Next to "Time Range" from the dropdown menu I selected "Last 7 days". Then selected Delete Data. This fixed my issue with the pop ups'. Thank you for inspiring me on how to fix the issue.

Hi, I'm getting fake security alerts every time I turn on my computer, but I'm pretty sure they're coming from Microsoft, as they have no other purpose than trying to get me to use OneDrive or some such Microsoft product, which would probably give me real security/privacy concerns if I were silly enough to comply with the request. After several of these, I no longer read the alerts, which probably puts me at risk of a real security issue. Sorry Microsoft, you'll need to stop crying wolf if you want to make me start reading your alerts.

Sorry, but does someone know how to do this in Chrome? I know that Google and MS seem to feud, so maybe that is the issue? I don't surf to dubious sites...
