How to Enable / Disable AutoPlay on Windows 11

1. Launch the Windows Settings app.

2. When Settings App appears, on the sidebar, select "Bluetooth & Devices."

3. Choose "AutoPlay."

4. Toggle the switch under "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" to turn auto-play on or off.

After you enable AutoPlay, you’ll also have the option to customize how AutoPlay behaves for different types of media and devices. Just scroll down to see the different options for things like USB drives, CDs, and more. You can set specific actions for each type of device, such as asking what to do every time or automatically opening a specific app.

You can do this by pressing Windows + I on your keyboard, or right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Settings from the context menu.

This does not work with Media Player 11. In fact I would really like to go back to the old version as this new version is absolute rubbish. It won't rip all tracks [giving no reason why] and then won't play the next track.

Thanks for the tip. Is there any way to disable USB device autoplay when it is plugged in?

Hi, I've turned off the auto-playback under the Bluetooth and Devices, but when on a BING page with videos, the videos auto-play. How can I get it to stop!

The feature is used to enable or disable the AutoPlay program such as when a USB is plugged into the PC, not for the purpose you are trying.

Thanks for the reply, Ammarjaved. How can the video auto-play be stopped in the Bing browser, then?
