How to backup iPhone to computer without iTunes on Windows 11?
My iPhone 14 Pro Max free storage is not enough and only 10GB left. I plan to backup iPhone to Windows 11 computer as it has more than 500GB free space. So I downloaded the iTunes app from Microsoft app but it can't detect my iPhone and the text from the UI are missing.
I tried installing and uninstalling iTunes a couple of times but it did not work. Is there any simple way to backup iPhone to computer without iTunes on Windows 11?

iTunes sucks when using it to backup iPhone. It is slow and not flexible. Better go with a dedicated backup tool instead like this simple one:

iCloud backup is the easiest for newbies when it comes to backup iPhone to computer, no need for a computer and no worries about data loss. However, 5GB of space is far from enough, and if you have a lot of photos and videos, you have to spend money to expand the capacity, which is not very suitable for users who want to backup for free. In addition, restoring from iCloud backup is slow, and you have to empty your iPhone when restoring data, so it's not flexible enough.
Step 1: Open iCloud Turn on Backup
1. Tap Settings on the iPhone screen. The first thing you see is your Apple ID.
2. Tap 'iCloud' and scroll down to find iCloud Backup.
3. Open iCloud BackupStep 2: Launch iCloud Backup and Auto Backup
Connect to Wi-Fi, plug in the charger and make sure the phone is charging, then click 'Backup Now' to backup iPhone to computer without using iTunes and wait for the backup to finish. You can also see the time of the last backup so that the backup is successful. First of all, we need to make sure iCloud backup is enabled so that your iPhone will be backed up automatically as long as it is connected to Wi-Fi and charging.
Step 3: Restore iCloud Backup
If you want to restore iPhone backup then you just need to open Settings and go to iCloud Backup Restore and enter your appleid to select the backup data and wait for the restoration to complete.Advantages:
1. Completely wireless: No need to connect to computer, as long as there is Wi-Fi, you can automatically backup anytime and anywhere.
2. Apple official service, highest security, data stored in Apple cloud server.
3. Automatic Backup: iPhone will be backed up automatically when charging + Wi-Fi connection + lock screen, no need to operate manually.
4.Cross-device recoverable: you can directly use Apple ID to synchronize and recover data on a new device.Disadvantages:
1. Free space is only 5GB, backing up photos and videos will soon exceed the capacity, and you need to pay to expand the capacity.
2. Can not selective backup, you must backup the whole machine, can not only backup part of the data.
3. When restoring, the device must be emptied, and direct browsing of backup files is not supported.
4. Stable Wi-Fi is required, if the network speed is slow, backup or recovery may be very time-consuming. - PercivalGroveIron Contributor
Backing up your iPhone to computer without iTunes can be pretty straightforward. It doesn't matter how you back up your data, what matters is that you choose the right tool. There are a bunch of third-party apps out there like 1Mazing, AnyTians, or Synci0s that can do the job well. Just make sure you’re not going for some sketchy software—your data is fragile and you don’t wanna risk losing it or, worse, getting a virus. Make sure both your iPhone and your computer’s OS are updated. It sounds boring, but trust me—outdated software can lead to compatibility issues. You don’t want your backup to get interrupted halfway through just because of a silly software glitch.
Never close the backup app when you doing backup iPhone to a computer! You can ruin your backup. Just let it do its work. It might take a while, especially if you’ve got a lot of data, so maybe grab a snack and chill for a bit. And most tools will ask where you want to save the backup. Make sure it’s a spot you can remember and access later. Otherwise, you’ll be like, “Where the heck did I put that backup?” when you need it.
