How do I remove SLOP from my START MENU

EVERYTIME I search in my start menu I get SLOP recommendations from the store and its REALLY FRUSTRATING because I used to use the start menu to type PRIVATE/PERSONAL INFORMATION before copying and pasting to my browser or whatever and yet microsoft sends ALL MY TYPED INFORMATION from the start menu to the MICROSOFT STORE with NO OPTION TO DISABLE THIS. I've only been able to disable the slop recommendations by disabling the store with Applocker, but then I CAN'T TELL IF MY APPS UPDATE. I can't move back to windows 10 since support is over and I seriously can't believe I have to consider getting a Mac because of this. 

Sorry for typing in caps this is extremely frustrating for me. Any help is appreciated.
