How do I install windows 11 on new pc without operating system?
I recently built a new PC with no operating system. I want to install Windows 11 on new PC, but this is my first time doing this from scratch. I have an Intel i7-13700K processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. I have prepared a USB drive containing Windows 11 ISO file, but I am not sure about the exact steps for the installation, especially the UEFI settings.
I am not sure how to proceed. Has anyone encountered a similar situation and can share their experience or give me some advice? Thanks everyone!

Hey! I recently installed Windows 11 on my new PC too—used WonderISO to create the bootable USB, and it made things so smooth. Just make sure UEFI is enabled in BIOS, and the installation will guide you from there. Good luck! 🎉
Here is the tutorial: (worked for me)

Avoid using USB 2.0 when installing Windows 11 on new PC, as it significantly slows down the process. USB 3.0 or higher offers much faster data transfer speeds, reducing the time it takes to copy files and complete the installation. Ensure your PC has USB 3.0 ports (usually marked with a blue color or labeled "SS" for SuperSpeed) and use a compatible USB drive for optimal performance. This approach can save considerable time during the installation process, especially when dealing with large installation files.
Additionally, using a high-speed USB drive improves reliability and ensures a smooth installation experience. USB 2.0 devices may experience lag or interruptions, leading to potential errors during installation. By opting for USB 3.0 or higher, you benefit from reduced installation time, fewer errors, and a more efficient setup. Always ensure that your PC's BIOS/UEFI is configured to prioritize USB 3.0 for booting when preparing to install Windows 11.

You should first find another computer and prepare for Windows 11 bootable USB in order to install Windows 11 on new PC.
Step 1. Visit the Microsoft Windows 11 download page. Download the Media Creation Tool.
Step 2. Run the Media Creation Tool and select Create installation media . Choose your language, edition, and architecture (64-bit is recommended). Select USB flash drive and follow the instructions to create the bootable USB.
Step 3: Boot the new PC and choose the USB drive.
Step 4: When the Windows installation wizard shows up, follow the screen instruction to install Windows 11 on new PC without operating system.

Before we install windows 11 on new pc without operating system, let's make sure your new PC is ready for Windows 11. You’re gonna want to check these requirements:
- Processor: 1 GHz or faster, with at least 2 cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or SoC (System on Chip).
- RAM: 4 GB or more.
- Storage: 64 GB or larger.
- TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0 is required (a must-have for Windows 11).
- Graphics Card: DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x.
- Display: >9” with HD Resolution (720p).

If you’re installing from a USB stick, make sure you create a bootable USB properly. I’ve had issues where I skipped using tools like Rufus or the Windows Media Creation Tool, and ended up with a drive that wouldn’t load. Follow the prompts carefully and choose the right options to ensure your USB is set up correctly.
You need to access your BIOS/UEFI settings to make the USB drive the first boot device. I remember fumbling around for a bit because I overlooked this step. If you boot from your hard drive instead, you won’t see the Windows installation prompt! Make sure to look for options related to boot order and prioritize your USB.
While installing Windows 11 on new pc should be smooth, problems can happen. Always back up any important data first, even if it’s a new PC. There was one time I thought I was in the clear, only to face a partitioning issue that deleted stuff I didn’t mean to. Having a backup can be a lifesaver just in case.
Once Windows 11 is installed, you’ll need to make sure all your drivers are up to date. I made the mistake of forgetting to install the chipset and graphics drivers right away, thinking Windows would handle everything. It can, but not always perfectly. Use Windows Update and check the manufacturer’s website (like NVIDIA or AMD) for the latest drivers.
During installation, if you choose to skip signing in with a Microsoft account, you might miss out on some features and sync options. I went the local account route once, and while it worked fine, it limited some of the cloud features. So, if you can, use your Microsoft account—it makes everything from app downloads to settings much smoother afterward.

Installing Windows 11 on a new PC without an operating system can seem like a daunting task, before anything else, double-check that your hardware meets the minimum specs for Windows 11. Microsoft set the bar pretty high with the TPM 2.0 requirement and a compatible CPU. I once jumped into an installation only to find out my CPU didn’t make the cut, which was so frustrating! Use the PC Health Check tool to confirm compatibility before you start.
