How can I stop game bar pop-up notification?

This pop-up appears when I am playing games. Don't know how to turn it off.

Thank you very much in advance

    Hi there,

I had the same issue a while ago — those Game Bar notifications can really interrupt the experience, especially when you're trying to focus. Here's what worked for me:

    Disable Game Bar completely:
Go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar and toggle Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game Bar to Off.

    Turn off notifications:
Navigate to Settings > System > Notifications, then scroll down and turn off notifications for Xbox Game Bar or anything related to gaming if you don’t need them.

Also, if you’re into relaxing while gaming or traveling, I recently came across a service that offers https://dcdiscoveryusa.com/ — it's been a great way to unwind offline and explore history in style. Thought I'd share in case you're into mixing tech-free downtime with real-world experiences!

    Hope this helps!

You can turn off this Game Bar notification by disabling background recording or the Game Bar itself.

    Try the following steps:

Option 1: Turn off Game Bar entirely
    1. Go to Settings > Gaming > Game Bar
    2. Toggle “Open Xbox Game Bar using this button on a controller” to Off
    3. Optionally, uncheck “Remember this as a game” if you’ve marked the game window as such before

    Option 2: Disable background recording
    1. Go to Settings > Gaming > Captures
    2. Toggle “Record what happened” to Off
(This disables background recording and removes that popup)

    Option 3: Hide notifications
    1. Go to Settings > System > Notifications
    2. Scroll to Xbox Game Bar and turn Off notifications specifically for it

Close Xbox Game Bar settings and locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\GameBar in the Registry Editor. Change the values of AllowAutoGameMode and UseNexusForGameBarEnabled to 0.
