Help! When clicking "Sign In" on computer profile bounces me right back to the lockscreen.
Hello!
(I'll be referring to the page where you see your time and date after booting up your computer as the Lockscreen, since I don't really know the official term for it.)
Posting this for a friend who has very little Windows knowledge and is very dyslexic. Said friend just got a new PC, and we set it up yesterday. We got some of his apps installed, blah blah blah, you probably know the drill. Restarts/logins had worked fine an hour prior. However, after going to log back in after a restart, we were greeted with an issue that would torment us the rest of the night. Upon clicking the "Sign In" button, we were just bounced right back to the lockscreen.
So far we have tried
-Booting in safe mode
-Booting in safe mode with the network thing disabled
-Normal restarts
Something possibly noteworthy: in the recovery menu, clicking on troubleshooting just brought me to the advanced options. No options for a reset. Another possibly noteworthy thing is that when he tried to sign in using safe mode, the Sign In button flat out just did nothing. No booting to the lockscreen, nothing.
I'll try to get a video later today, but no promises. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
~Caleb
