HELP. INTERNET CONECTIVITY PROBLEMS.

Hi.  I am Jason from Beaumont Texas and I am not stranger to the world of computers, the internet, or anything electronic for that matter.  I use my PC for everything.  I even have it hooked up to my 72" Samsung in the living room. I went to watch YouTube recently on my computer and found that the web page wouldn't load.  I then tried Google and that page wouldn't load either.  After some investigation I discovered that my son was messing around with some settings in the internet properties or something and changed something thinking he was going to make it work better.  I don't know why because it was working fine but that's neither here nor there.  Anyway, my point is he does not know what he changed and I can't figure out what he has done either.  I have a Dell XPS running Windows 11 with a Netgear A7000 wireless adapter and a Netgear A7500 wireless adapter.  Both adapters show that I'm connected to the internet but I cannot bring up a web page or do anything.  I have tried everything that I know.  .  I have uninstalled and reinstalled both adapters and I have even done a network reset and restarted the computer.  Can anyone help me.  I am at the point of thinking about reinstalling windows, but I really don't want to have to do that.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Jason M.

Since your computer shows you're connected to Wi-Fi but web pages don't load, the issue is almost certainly at a software level in Windows. We're going to use a systematic approach: first, rule out the most common cause (proxy settings), then reset the network software stack, and finally verify if the Netgear adapter drivers are getting along with Windows 11.

Ensure your Windows Firewall or any security software isn’t blocking web access: Go to Settings > Windows Security > Firewall & network protection. Temporarily disable it to test.
