Edge Startup Issue
I have a problem with Microsoft Edge and would appreciate any suggestions over what I have already tried.
When trying to open Edge, the UAC window comes up. Clicking either option (OK or cancel) makes the UAC go away but nothing happens. There are no processes associated with Edge in task manager. I have attempted Edge repair from Settings>Apps several times. I created a new user with admin permissions, and edge opens just fine. I copied the %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data from the failing to the new user and it opens just fine. I copied the same from the generic new user to the real admin account and the same result - not opening in original admin user. I tried installing a new program to see if the UAC was the issue - installed just fine. Windows is caught up with all updates. I have done a SFC and chkdsk, Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Even though it's Windows 10 Home, check if any policies or registry entries might block Edge.

edge type: settings/reset, follow the prompts to reset Edge settings and then disable all extensions and restart the browser.

Did this trick work?

NO. As stated, I cannot open Edge at all (even in safe mode)
