DVD won't auto start in Windows 11
I get this message when trying to play a video I had from several years ago. It is not a movie, but a homemade one.
the file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default apps setting page.
This is Windows 11. What can I do. I have been looking on Google but have not found anything to help.

- Settings→Bluetooth & devices→AutoPlay: On
- AutoPlay→“DVD video”: Windows Media Player
- Settings→Apps→Default apps→.vob/.mpg→Media Player
- If Windows N: install Media Feature Pack via Settings→Optional features
- Device Manager→DVD/CD-ROM drives→Update driver
- gpedit.msc→Computer Configuration→Administrative Templates→Windows Components→AutoPlay→Turn off AutoPlay = Disabled
- Control Panel→Hardware and Sound→AutoPlay: “Use AutoPlay for all media” = Checked
- Win+R → wmplayer D: → Play
- Reinsert DVD after making changes
- Restart PC to apply settings

- Enable AutoPlay: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → AutoPlay → On; set “DVD video” to “Media Player”
- Associate DVD file types: Settings → Apps → Default apps → search “Media Player” → set .vob/.ifo/.mpeg to Media Player
- If Media Player is missing (Windows N): install Media Feature Pack via Settings → Optional features → Add a feature
- Run AutoPlay policy check: gpedit.msc → Computer Config → Admin Templates → Windows Components → AutoPlay → “Turn off AutoPlay” = Disabled
- Open DVD manually: Win+R → wmplayer D: → press Play
