copilot with a local account?
hi I've yet to see this explicitly stated, but it appears logging on with a MS account is required for copilot - true? If not, what's the secret to enabling it on a local account? thanks! M...

Currently, CoPilot does not work in all global markets, a local account - not a problem - if you use Edge and are logged in to Edge for Bing 🙂

As of my knowledge, Microsoft has not explicitly stated that logging on with a Microsoft account is required for Copilot. Copilot is a GitHub feature designed to assist developers in writing code. It provides suggestions and auto-completion based on analysis of millions of public GitHub repositories.
- oldtrekky1Dec 21, 2023Copper ContributorMy Win 11 Insider system has a Copilot AI icon on the desktop. (It appears next to the old Cortana dialog window). It is able to answer questions on all kinds of things, other than programming. My "normal" Win 11 system has copilot as an add-in to Edge and it too answers questions and has multiple levels of detailed responses. The latter system does not have the CoPilot icon on the desktop, but as of 23H2 it is supposed to be rolled out soon.
