Can't Sign in to anything with my Microsoft account
After the last update or so, I can't sign in to the Microsoft store or the Xbox app or the settings. There is no error code or anything, it just flashes the sign in page and disappear. In the store I get the error "We encountered an error. Please try signing in again later." and that's all. I tried all sorts of thing like resetting and repairing the Microsoft store and Xbox app, but those did nothing. i tried these commands "sfc /scannowsfc /scannow" and
"Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" but still nothing.
Does anyone have the same error or knows a fix, please let me know.
Thanks

Please ensure Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant service is running.

Hello, That's a well-known problem that has been encountered after certain Windows updates, and is mainly concerned with the issue of Microsoft Store, Xbox app, and Settings sign-in loops without any clear error code. As you've already been through SFC and DISM (which is a good start), here are some other things that frequently come in handy: To check out the Microsoft Account Sign-in Service, follow these steps:Here's how to check out Microsoft Account Sign-in Service: * Press Win + R → type `services.msc` Ensure that the Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant is activated and configured to "Automatic": Restart your Xbox Identity Provider.Restart your Xbox Identity Provider. If possible, reinstall/Reset “Xbox Identity Provider” from Microsoft Store. If you want to clear out the Store cache completely, go to Settings > General > Clear Store cache again (advanced). * Win + R → `wsreset.exe` 4. **Check system date/time** * Silently Broken Sign-in loops due to wrong time sync. 6. Log out of the Guest User account.7. Log into a new local user account. Create new user and sign in (tests sign-in in new user to help confirm profile corruption) To re-register Microsoft Store using PowerShell (Admin), please follow the steps below: This is often enough resolves broken Store authentication following updates If none of these do the trick, it's probably due to the corruption of the Windows account token/cache due to the update, and a repair install (in-place upgrade) should be the most secure repair method without data loss. If it has appeared for anyone else after the last update it would be interesting to compare the build versions since it does look like it's a post-update authentication bug. Hope this helps.

Hi,
This usually happens due to a broken Microsoft sign-in component in Windows, especially after updates. Since basic fixes didn’t work, try the steps below:
- Sign out of your Microsoft account from Windows (Settings > Accounts > Your info) and sign in again.
- Reset Microsoft Store cache: press Win + R, type wsreset.exe and press Enter.
- Reinstall Web Experience Pack (important for login UI):
- Open PowerShell as administrator
- Run:
Get-AppxPackage *WebExperience* | Remove-AppxPackage
Then reinstall it from the Microsoft Store
- Check Xbox services:
- Press Win + R → type services.msc
- Restart: Xbox Live Auth Manager, Xbox Live Game Save, Xbox Live Networking Service
- Make sure date/time and region are correct and synced
If the issue continues, it may be related to your Windows user profile. Testing with a new local user account can help confirm that.
Let me know if this helps 👍

Reset the Microsoft Account and Windows Web Experience Pack apps in the list of apps within Windows Settings.

It is a network issue. Please reboot the router and computer.

Ensure your system's date and time are correct. Incorrect settings can cause sign-in issues.
Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time and enable "Set time automatically."
