4K monitor Win11 scaling causes abnormal mouse movement

After replacing the monitor with a new 4K display, when the Windows 11 scaling is set to 150%, the mouse encounters an “obstacle” at the Y-axis position of 1440 (1728 at 125% scaling), preventing vertical movement. It can only move horizontally and requires acceleration to force through. Hardware issues with the mouse have been ruled out (replacing the G502 did not resolve the issue), and this phenomenon does not occur on the Windows 10 system. System version: Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (22631.4112).

  • Adjust the scaling level in Settings > System > Display > Scaling (recommended 200% for 4K), and update your graphics driver to ensure high DPI compatibility.

First, go to the website of your GPU manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and download the latest driver for your specific graphics card model and Windows 11.

Uninstall the old driver and install the latest one.
