How to Disable CoPilot

I have a user that really hates the CoPilot and it keeps coming up on his outlook. I tried disabling the Add In but didn't see it listed. Any way to locally disable CoPilot for just a single user

Well those instructions only tell you how to turn it on. Not off. This should be a simple radio button...on or off. There is simply no actual way to remove it...and that is by design. No reason to do this unless you just don't care and want to steal as much data from your users as possible. Copilot as AI is not processed locally on the machine. That means anything it does in Office is uploaded to MS Copilot servers. Meaning MS has access to your communications/documents and represents a HUGE privacy risk not to mention subject to government warrant of which the user has no control.. The fact that they make changes like this without giving you an easy way to uninstall is MS deliberately circumventing your privacy to hawk their latest substandard product. If I want AI I'll pay for Grok or ChatGPT, not the completely worthless abomination that is Copilot. Fix this nonsense Microsoft...no one wants this garbage, though it's not like MS has ever cared what the consumer has wanted.

I have followed the instructions you have provided but in Outlook I do not have any add-ins showing.   Is there another source that needs to be addressed?

There is a newer way to uninstall Copilot for Sales if it was previously installed by a user.  From Outlook, select "More Apps" from the left hand banner, find Copilot for Sales and you should see an uninstall option.  Below in my screenshot there is no option to unistall which means the app was installed by an admin and can only be removed by an admin - if that is the case here is the documentation to remove:

Uninstall the Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales app | Microsoft Learn

      I hope that helps,

      Sam

    Open Microsoft Outlook.
    Click on File.
    Select Manage Add-ins.
In the Manage Add-ins window, find Sales Copilot and choose Remove.

Hi Jim, this forum is specifically for Copilot for Sales product, unfortunately I'm not sure how to remove the Copilot in your Microsoft email.

Sam, I did the following steps and it did look like it removed itself in the ribbon. However, this morning it is still showing up on emails

Are you sure you don't still have the add-in installed - can you double check here in OWA:

        1. Open https://aka.ms/olksideload. If required, sign in to your Microsoft Outlook account.
        2. In the Add-Ins for Outlook window, select My add-ins in the left pane.
        3. On the Sales Copilot for Microsoft Outlook card, select Manage Add-In (...) at the bottom-right, and then select Remove.

        thanks,
        Sam
