Email settings groups
Not sure if its Viva or not, but
- When I create a group in the admin 365, I can easily tick off the option of "send copies of og group conversations and events ot group members".
- When created a community within Viva, that group name cant do that. Unable to save the settings "Send copies of group conversations and events to group members' inboxes" and/or "Allow people outside your organization to send email to the group." Either the assigned product license does not include Exchange Online, or you recently created this group and it is not yet ready for processing.
Where is the problem?

If you post an announcement within the community, it could also trigger an email, which people could react and reply within Outlook as well.

Seems my reply vanished.
Thansk for the reply.
Thats brings me to another question in my learning curve.
How can I send a newsletter (created) from the Sharepoint site within Viva to all memebers?
Engage used to allow users to create new posts via email if you used the email address that's associated with the M365 Group, and it didn't provide the distribution list and calendar features in Outlook that M365 Groups provide when you create them in SharePoint and Outlook.
That create by email has been retired so the email address for the M365 Group for the community is essentially non-functional.- Pierce1975007Copper Contributor
Hi, and thanks for reply.
That brings me to another question (just in the learning curve here).
How can I then send an email to everyone whos a member? If I was to make a newsletter in the Sharepoint Site connected to Viva. How can that newsletter be sent to everyone?
You may be able to find the email address in the global address book by typing in the To: box in Outlook, and then expand the list to get all the individual members.
Otherwise, it could not easy. There's no front-end list of members export, and the back end function is in Entra ID / Azure AD - so possibly hard to find the right admin to pull this.
