Workflow emails - Sender is no-reply@sharepointonline.com

Is there a way (not too difficult) to change the sender of a workflow email from no-reply@sharepointonline.com

There is no easy way as far as I know. The article below describes a workaround which works well with on-prem, but it seems there are issues with it in Sharepoint Online.

My workflow is working with no-reply@sharepointonline.com but not sending email to outside domain. Is there a way to make this working?
