What happens if I deactivate "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" on a SharePoint site
Hello,
We are currently experiencing an issue on the Operations site. After a request to remove the Recycle Bin, one of our technicians used an online script to do so. Unfortunately, this caused the site's navigation layout to change from a horizontal top menu to a vertical left-hand menu.
To restore the original navigation style, we are considering disabling the SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure feature. Before we proceed, we want to understand the full impact of this change.

There isn’t a straightforward answer to this query, as the impact depends on which features are currently being used on the site.
Disabling this feature may result in the loss of user data or customizations associated with it. Additionally, any active features or apps that rely on it could stop functioning properly.

Recommended Approach:
Create a copy of the site and perform this action on the duplicate. This allows you to test and validate the impact without affecting the live environment.
