Update: Document Sets in Modern Document Libraries
Thanks for for the update Lincoln. I’m still seeing classic view, even when configured for modern experience. I don’t have customised welcome pages either.
I did have modern document sets for a few days in that initial rollout in early June, so The issue doesn’t appear to be on my end. Seems that others are still seeing classic view as well, so there appears to be a broader issue here.
Are you you able to advise?
We are continuing the roll-out of modern document sets to more organizations. If your organization is now seeing the modern view, we'd love to hear any feedback you'd like to provide. If you're still seeing the classic welcome page, your organization will get the modern view in a later phase of the roll-out. Thanks again for your patience.

Hi Michael,
We have the document sets displaying in modern view ok, but we used to use Doc sets in classic view heavily, and cannot migrate from their in many situations because we are unable to display Document set properties on the top of the page for example, as there are no welcome pages in modern.
Can you advise if anything like this is on the roadmap at all ?

PaulRignanese In the modern view of a document set, the details pane should automatically open and show the document set's welcome page properties above other column values. Is there information that's missing from the details pane? Do we need to make the welcome page properties stand out more?
- Paul JohnstonJul 28, 2019Copper ContributorI find that the welcome page properties are lost amongst the noise of the information panel. My users are highly likely to ignore the information panel entirely as they rarely need that information. However they do need the welcome page properties.

Thanks for the update Michael.
Do you have any information on when the rollout phases are set to be completed? In other words, worst case scenario how long could we be waiting?

We are now rolling-out modern document sets to all organizations. Thank you again for your patience and for reporting issues!

I have view AllItems associated that should display at the Top level (Nejvyssi uroven) and a view ProSpis that should display at the Spis content type (a folder content type).
But this doesn't work. The view doesn't change when going to a folder of Spis content type.
What works: the view changes when going to a document set content type which has associated the view.

We're keeping an eye on the roll-out and looking for any issues that we would need to fix before continuing. This makes it difficult to give a worst case estimate - it would depend on how long those issues take to fix. That said, we're aware that people have been anticipating this functionality, so we don't want to delay it any more than is necessary to ensure a smooth roll-out.
