Unable to open SharePoint online list attachments in desktop excel and word app
Unable to open the attachments into local app( excel/word), it's opens in browser mode after below changes.I tried with IE and Edge browser but no result
1) Changed the list mode to classic
2) enable the Open Documents in Client Applications by Default site collection feature in Site settings.
However, in 2013 it was working fine.
As i aware there is no advance settings to open client application as library.

Chakravarthy35 have you tried using Microsoft Teams for lists,
now you have Sharepoint Lists as Microsoft lists into Teams.
PDostiyar , Actually, end user looking same experience as sp2013. We tried with Teams, however, content is missing with in the speed sheet like check boxes and attachments.
Chakravarthy35 Correct you should find this option in your current list where you could turn on/off the columns.
if your lists don't have that option then try to add the Microsoft Lists app in your Teams > create a new tab on that channel select Microsoft Lists > it gives you 2 options new or existing you need to select existing lists...
