unable to edit sharepoint page

Hi, best thing to do here is to go to Site Contents > Site Pages. Then select the page in the list, click the 3 dots as shown in the image below, and choose Discard Check out. This should resolve this for you.
This worked for me! Someone on my team checked out the home page and didn't know how to publish or check it back in. After asking them and they still haven't done it, this will pretty much undo it.
I want to add that you will have to find which page it is they have checked out, select it and follow what PeterRising​ screenshot.
