Unable to edit in grid view

Josh_Wickes thanks. I think this is set. Other people have the ability to edit but myself and others don't. I have 'can edit' permissions so I was expecting I would be able to.
In that case I would confirm you have the edit permissions on the library and all items within it if there are item level permissions restricting edit it may disable the option to use quick edit
