DaveMehr365ok thanks,, but i do not have any template to use,, i was just planning to create documents with different content types mainly for the metadata using document sets, and not for creating templates
when you don't need the Content Types, you can hide all Content Type from the "new" menu, after that, user can't create a new document and you don't have the message in your case.
