Task List Predecessors SharePoint
Hello
I have worked on MS Project and often used Predecessors to link my Tasks and timelines. Task and Sub-Tasks could be Auto scheduled based on Predescessors. I am trying to use the same in SharePoint Task List. For example
Row 1 Task hast StartDate 04.01.2019 & EndDate as 04.03.2019
Row 2 Task has StartDate 04.03.2019 & EndDate as 04.07.2019
By adding Predecessor to Row2 Task, this will automatically auto-schedule with Row1 and ist enddate will be linked to StartDate
I am unable to do this using SharePoint Task list.
Is there a way to do this?
- Alan MarshallSteel ContributorSync your project file with the SharePoint task list. You can maintain the scheduling in project whilst exposing the tasks to everyone else through the list. The sync is also two way so if a user updates a task progress, when you sync in Project it updates the task
- Well, Task lists are not so ready to this scenario as Project is...Have you considered to use Project Online?

Yes for me it is not a Problem.
But our development Team want to use this for a few Tasks. And it is expensive if everyone need a licence for Project. The use it only 2 times in the month
