Synced Sharepoint through MS Teams shown as duplicate in Windows Explorer after rename to "all caps"
Hi all,
After a change of our Organization entry where all our sharepoints are located from "proper" to "all capitals", every user that makes use of the sync option now seems to have duplicate synced sharepoint folders of the old "proper" sharepoint and the new "all caps" sharepoint in their file explorer. These folders do work from the same location on your C:\ drive but it might give some confusion to the end-user.
If there is a user that starts syncing after the name change (not having synced any sharepoints prior) as expected they will not run into the same issue.
Is there a better way then to unlink the synced libraries of all users and resync them?
Thanks and with kind regards,
Andrew

Solution is:
Delete duplicate SP Icon with the wrong name in:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\
No need to restart, resync, ...
