SPO List Gallery View

Posting here because I'm at the end of my rope. 

Wanted to see if anyone knew if it was possible to format an SPO Gallery view of a list to look like the Gallery view for a picture library. 

From something like this...               

                                                ->

                                                          To something like this.

I know you can mess around with the JSON, but I have zero clue as to how that works. If anyone has any suggestions, or know that it's flat-out impossible, I'd appreciate your input. 

Alternatively, I was wondering if I create a Picture Gallery, could I have it so that when selecting a person, their list form shows up? Kind of like the reverse of what I'm trying to do above. Any input is appreciated!
