SPO and Office 365 Groups External Sharing Settings.

Question

If you turn off External Sharing for the root in the SPO admin center, does this affect sharing documents with external guests for Office 365 Group site collections, even if you have Guest Access turned on at the Tenant level?

The documentation on this is very ambiguous.

Yes it does. If you disable external sharing in SPO admin, guests in groups will not be able to access content in the group's document library. We'll also be updating our documentation soon to make this more clear. Thanks!
