SPD Workflow in SP Online: 2010 vs. 2013
I have a client who has asked me to rewrite their SPD 2010 workflows as SPD 2013 workflows with 100%, feature-for-feature fidelity in SP Online. They've experienced some service failures with the 2010 WFs, and Microsoft Premier Support told them to convert them to 2013 to fix the failures.
The idea of 2013 SPD WFs being more reliable than 2010 SPD WFs is new to me. My own personal experience has been that, while more limited in many ways, 2010 is the more reliable product, with solid performance and fewer hang ups, nuisances, and gotchas than 2013. In fact, I've rarely built a workflow on 2013 without having cause to regret it sooner or later.
However, in the SPO world, perhaps this is changing? What are your experiences?

- DeletedNope, your experience is about on par, the 2010 workflow engine in my experience has been more robust. I would honestly look at flow for the workflows, but flow isn't 100% there yet for replacement IMO when it comes to account management etc. on flows due to it not being able to run under a system account like SPD WF's do.
