Site Contents doesn't stay open in browser tab anymore
It used to be (seems like less than a year ago), that when I selected something, e.g., library or list, from Site Contents, the selected library/list opened in a new browser tab. Site Contents stayed open in its own browser tab until I closed it.
Has anyone had the same experience (and memory) of how this used to work? And how to change it back?

I have just clicked on a few contents on the same site which stayed open in the same browser tab (using the edge browser) is it possible to replicate this behavior on other browsers? Also at the moment, no setting controls that in SharePoint so it might just be isolated to the browser.
Please feel free to let me know what you find from testing on other browsers and incognito.Deleted It happens in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Chrome Incognito. Also happens for every site.
