Site Contents doesn't stay open in browser tab anymore
It used to be (seems like less than a year ago), that when I selected something, e.g., library or list, from Site Contents, the selected library/list opened in a new browser tab. Site Contents stayed...

I have just clicked on a few contents on the same site which stayed open in the same browser tab (using the edge browser) is it possible to replicate this behavior on other browsers? Also at the moment, no setting controls that in SharePoint so it might just be isolated to the browser.
Please feel free to let me know what you find from testing on other browsers and incognito.

Deleted It happens in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Chrome Incognito. Also happens for every site.

Many thanks for your response, considering this happens on all sites and browser it is safe to say this is by design. I am sure if you have another user in the same tenant test, they'll have the same exact behavior.
Many thanks once again for carrying out the test.Deleted lol...it's unlikely to be by design if (1) it isn't doing this for other users and (2) the behavior changed recently.

Many thanks for your observation, in this case kindly have your user account with the issue signed into another device while you try to reproduce this issue considering this may be something to do with that device.
