Site columns in modern SharePoint
Hi all,
Is anyone using site columns in modern SharePoint lists? Example: I want the same list of products to show up in multiple lists, so I create a site column named Product (a choice column) with the desired products, and then add that column to any list within the site that needs that same Product column. I ask because "Site column" is not an option when adding a column from within a list, you have to go to "List settings" to add a site column. So, I'm wondering if there is a better/more modern approach to achieve the same?
Graham
Hello Graham_McHugh
i use everytime site columns, there are automatically be a managed property. I don't know other ways then over list settings, except scripting, but this is not user friendly 🙂
For me is to add site columns over list settings a good way, most of the time i do other settings on the list with the same steps.
Best, Dave
