Site Collection Allow/Deny Settings
So, I recently noticed that there are additional external sharing settings available per site collection. We can now turn on external sharing and configure specific allow/deny settings for each individual site collection. Has this capability been here for a while and I just haven't noticed it? Is it new? If so, is it still in preview or first release? I haven't seen any announcement about this added capability, is there an announcement that I missed?

External Sharing settings at the site-collection level are nothing new. The settings as I currently see them in my tenant were there as far back as I can remember. Haven't seen any changes lately. Are there specific settings you noticed to be new?
Edit: the settings as I currently see them in my tenant are the same as described in the following article:
In my tenant (first release) I see additional settings that allow you to configure an allow/deny list at the site level instead of just at the global level.
I'm not sure but I think the settings are there for quite some time now. I've just checked a tenant with first release disabled and the settings are there too.
