Hi, if you haven't achieved your goal with PowerShell scripts (even though it should work), you can complete both tasks with the third-party tool DMS-Shuttle.
Take a look at the features "Update versioning limits" and "Bulk delete old versions", https://dms-shuttle.com/documentation/
Setting "the minimum number of major versions" below the value 100 works.
