Sep 06, 2017SharePoint tries to force open OneDrive or SharePoint app on mobile
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody has the same experience as me. I have a page in SharePoint online that is more or less a single page application in the classic interface. For now I can't move it to the new experience just yet, so I have to keep it as it is.
However, I experience two things:
- In the SharePoint app on Android it does not open the page, just the lists and libraries. I did read somewhere that the app will only open the new UX sites. Is this true, and is there a way I can force the SharePoint app to open the page?
- When I log into SharePoint online either the SharePoint app or the OneDrive app opens after I log in. The is a very bad user experience, as you expect to be redirected to the page and not a somewhate bad user experience in the SharePoint app. I would really like to prevent this behaviour.
Does anybody experience the same and are either 1 or 2 solvable?
Regards,
Martijn

A workaround is to create a bitly.com link that links to the page in SharePoint.
By useing a bitly link then the app doesn't show the "standard" libraries but a page in SharePoint instead.
Hopy you understand what I mean.
