SharePoint Online Search Results

Good Day

Does anyone know what logic is used when showing search query results in SharePoint Online either through the desktop or the SharePoint mobile app?   Seems on premise there was some sort of ranking model taking many elements but for SharePoint Online what set of criteria helps determine which files show up first vs others? Thanks
