- richardmeehanCopper ContributorSo Collapsible sections have been changed this week so the heading of one now shows as a top level heading only (previously they were out of the headings structure). Anyone know if this was a mistake or if there are plans to allow choice? Pretty unuseable if only top level heading is allowed.
- AGoneauBrass ContributorWe noticed yesterday that all of a sudden the headings of all the collapsible sections are now HUGE, with no option to size them down. It's looks terrible. I really hope it doesn't stay that way. It would be great if we could choose the heading style/size.

I have observed font changes as well & unfortunately there are no settings to control font size from section settings. But, arrow is on same line as headings for me.
I think this is a bug in recent release from Microsoft & it will be fixed in upcoming releases.
You can try raising support ticket with Microsoft & suggest to make it as it was before. Hope Microsoft will fix this in next updates.

- rnelson25Copper Contributorwe just seen this as well today. What in the world is going on? Hope this is not permanent because this looks terrible now.
- VictaulicKatKCopper ContributorFunctionality is not stable. Once a section is created and set to be collapsed by default, one can no longer access the edit mode of the section and /or webpart. It will expand in published state but cannot be edited any longer. Tested in Edge and Chrome.
VictaulicKatK I too faced this intermittent issue on my tenant. Clicking multiple times (fast) on collapse/expand icon worked for me though (sounds silly but it worked!).

Has anyone else noted any problem loading these collapsible sections on MacOS Big Sur--all browsers?
- Functionality works on Windows and MacOS Catalina, both Safari and Chrome.
- Not working on multiple machines with MacOS Big Sur, NEITHER Chrome NOR Safari. In these environments, the collapsible sections and it's content is just absent.
Makes this a challenge to develop with collapsible elements.
Is this an issue on anyone's list??
- MEPinformaticsCopper ContributorI misdiagnosed the problem. It was not due to the OS. Caused by “targeted release features” only toggled on for me, yet not toggled on for my team. My team all with Big Sur MacBook Pros, but I run both a Catalina MacBook Pro and Windows 10 PC at the moment—so this became confounding as we debugged.
MEPinformatics Ah, got it. Others users has to wait until the standard release (GA) of this feature or you have to enable the targeted release for other users as well.
Check this documentation for more information about release options: Set up the Standard or Targeted release options

MEPinformatics I am using Windows. So, I haven't checked collapsible sections on MacOS.

Can anyone confirm if the standard release for Collapsible sections has been extended again? It was supposed to be released by end of last month. It is currently not showing for standard release so far.

Updated September 30, 2021: As shared previously, the new Collapsible Sections was deployed to 100% of Targeted Release customers. We held the solution at the Targeted Release phase while we addressed some issues that were reported with the solution. The issues have now been addressed and we will be resuming the global rollout to all customers. It is now our expectation that we’ll complete the rollout of the feature by the end of October 2021. Thank you for your patience.- lisa whiteBrass ContributorThanks for the update. I'll check it mid-November.

- ras0stBrass ContributorHonestly one of the most disappointing releases. First its 6 month late, then only half of the functionality gets released and the one that do gets released barely work. Images, the quick link web part etc doesnt load when you expand a collapsed section making this useless.
- PamKaiser-RabobankCopper ContributorWhy is this visible to admins only and not end users? We are all on the same tenant and same page but my users cannot see the sections. We are using Edge.
PamKaiser-Rabobank, I am guessing your organization is using targeted release for selected users (admins) only & that's why it is not visible to all users in your tenant.
So, you have to either enable targeted release for all users in your tenant OR wait until this feature is generally available (GA) / standard release to all SharePoint online tenants.

- Stewart FossBrass ContributorThe feature to "Show divider line between sections" is no longer working. The toggle seems to be disabled. Is this a known issue?
- lisa whiteBrass Contributor
Stewart Foss I have the same problem. Interestingly, any section that I added previously with a divider line won't let me turn the line off. Any new sections won't let me turn the divider line on. Certainly hope this is fixed by "late September." I won't bother checking it until the third week in October.
- ras0stBrass ContributorSame for me, divider function not working. Do we have any idea on when tabs will be available?
I too have noticed this issue. I am not able to toggle the divider option. I guess we have to wait until these features are fully released to all SharePoint online tenants (standard release).

Still awaiting with great anticipation the collapsible sections - any update until it will be released within our company?
Katharina1408 Rollout of collapsible sections feature is completed for Targeted release tenants and it is expected to be complete for Standard release in late September.
Check difference between Standard or Targeted release options in Microsoft 365.

- James MountfordIron ContributorThis is amazing. But our message centre post says it's expected to rollout by end of July and the post hasn't been updated and it's mid-August 🧐 We now have people on our tenant who can use the feature but it doesn't display for others. As people are using the section titles it leads to confusion for people that can't view them on published pages. I've opened a support ticket but told "it may take a few months" to fully rollout. Why do Microsoft keep putting out overzealous dates, which keep making it difficult to plan adoption and change activity 😠
- mayur1719Copper ContributorHi James,
I can understand your frustration, I did some research on it. Microsft rolls out new features under 'Target Release' and upon 'positive feedback' from users, they make the roll-out as 'Standard Release'.
In Office 365, there are three setting options to choose from:
1) Standard Release for everone- Usually this is the default option.
2) Targeted Release for everyone- if this option is chosen, then all the users in your organisation will be part of the new target release under office 365.
3) Target Release for selected users- only selected users will be part of the target release, in this instance Collapsible section.
Note: Sharepoint Admin can change the setting option as per the above three options. However, the Second option 'Target Release for everyone' will have some unprecedented risks.
I hope this was helpful, Let me know your thoughts.- James MountfordIron ContributorNote the MC post has been updated yesterday, coincidently the same day I provided feedback on it, with a delay and is now expected to land in late September. I'm also pretty sure clarification to targeted release was added with "select users and organization." I'm a select user and originally had assumed this sort of feature would be only organisation, because the section headers don't display for everyone else.
- CallistusCopper ContributorGreat but I am not yet impressed...wish it could be applied to one section in a two-column page. Secondly, I don't see the tabs option per "You’ll have the ability to show page sections in an accordion view (collapsed or expanded) or as tabs. The accordion view will be collapsed by default, but can be set to show expanded."
Callistus Microsoft is rolling out the accordion view with the current release & tabs will be rolled out with future release.

- CallistusCopper ContributorI probably missed it, but is there any word on the Tabs feature? Is this still in the roadmap? or is the new lists tab (views displaying as tabs on the modern list) that feature? Because back in the day, that was not what the ask was...but what Microsoft would say is available in PowerApps, the Tabbed form for lists.
