SharePoint Online checks out only when uploading new version
I have a modern document library with metadata coming from the files. These load and do not check out when they are new files to the library. When we upload new versions of existing files, they alw...
I did make sure that was turned off as well, and turned off versioning. Still checking out.
are you overwriting or editing online?
I have tried using the upload button, or drag and drop, both result in checked out files. I am selecting the option to Replace the existing file.
could you just edit the file in place and see if the flow triggers - either change in office online or rename
Unfortunately, we are not the ones doing the editing. These are done by coworkers who email us the file once updated. There is too much volume for us to be making the changes ourselves. This could be upwards of 2000 files each year.
