SharePoint Online - Open PDF in new tab

I'm currently setting my document library to open all Word, Excel, PPT and PDF using the client application.

But for some reason PDF won't open up in a new tab in the browser.

Are there any workarounds for this to make this work?

    Patrick Rote This is a default behavior in SharePoint for PDF files as it is a non-office file type.

     

    You can check & try suggestion given in this thread and see if it works for you: SharePoint list - open attachment without downloading them
