I just suddenly got the same issue myself (with Document Library web part), in a customer's tenant.  I tried to reproduce the same problem in my tenant and it worked properly.  Anyone else seeing this?

IS your Tenancy in the fast ring ?

 

If so that could be the answer to what you have experienced.

    Thanks Nigel - Good call, but the same problem started to occur in my tenant as well, about 30 minutes after I posted my prior reply.  My tenant is in Targeted Release and the customer's tenant is not.  So its not related to that.  I've got a ticket open with MS Support. 

     

    Seems like this is a really broad problem... I'm surprised there aren't more people reporting this right now.  Not sure when it started, as I just started to actually configure these new sites.
