SharePoint Mobile App (iOS and Android) won't open 'link' content types from a document library
So 9 months after your question, and I think it is actually getting harder to use sharepoint on an ios device over that period.
I am guessing that the IOS team is making it harder from Apple, and the sharepoint app team are not actually using it themselves on IOS, as it is nearly impossible to use.
1. Putting a document link in an email, opens in a browser, and you cannot get from there to the SP mobile app on IOS at all. I am happy even for a work around, however I am not sure that I can even past the link into the SP app to try to work around the issue.
2. There is no way to add sharepoint or onedrive into the share item list using the box with the arrow
3. Cannot edit or annotate PDF documents in sharepoint, cannot set a shortcut to a link to acrobat or sharepoint or anywhere to annotate a linked document in sharepoint.
Maybe I am missing the work around / or way to get to MS apps from sharepoint links on a mobile device - is there any help or manual, or anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Doug
