SharePoint Mobile App (iOS and Android) won't open 'link' content types from a document library

Has this been resolved? We have an extremely large team that exclusively uses mobile and this is a very inconvenient find as we have been linking all of our videos that they can't seem to open in the Sharepoint App. SOS.
Also hoping for any positive news out of the Sharepoint app regarding this issue.
