Sharepoint List remove filter button
- Jun 12, 2023
Hi GomboKh;
perhaps this is a workaround for you:
These filters are not visible if- you create a new site page ,
- add a "Document Library" webpart there and
- switch that webpart to use your view.
- Now redirect your users to that site page instead of your view.
Best Regards,
Sven

SvenSieverdingThis will still have the filters showing above the list in the web-part, though.

Eliot_Cole SvenSieverding The filters only show in the Web part if you do not remove the Manage Lists permission. The screenshot below is of a web part list view of a user with Edit permission but they can not clear the filter on the view of ID = -1 (to hide everything).
Here is the same web part list but with an account that has the Manage List permission (note they can clear the filter)

We're not seriously going to remove that permission, Dale_Lombard, as the majority of us are not wanting to arbitrarily strip users of permissions just so that we can make one single view look actually OK (even ... especially ... in a web-part) and we are also not in the habit of creating yet more permissions admin.
We're talking about something which is adjacent to the oft requested ability to embed lists without all the guff above them anyway.
Adding this as a specific 'view formatting' option (for both endeavors!) really seems like the salient choice here. Alternatively, adding the option to the lists web-part itself would be amazing.

But I hope Microsoft makes the new Filter Pill feature optional in coming updates or at least give us a chance to hide button through JSON formatting.
