SharePoint List - Query in Excel

I have run a query from a SharePoint list into Excel, however if other team members (who have access to the course list) try to refresh the data, they get an error reading "Exception of Type 'Microsoft.Mashup.Engine.Interface.ResourceAccessForbiddenException"

What kid of access level to the source list do they need?
