SharePoint list - person columns and deleted users
With a person column, contents are populated from user accounts within Azure. I've tested that when a user is completely purged from Azure, the name remains in the list.
Can anyone confirm this name will remain or will it eventually age out and be displayed as "unknown user" or something similar?
- SharePoint maintained it's own "copy" of a user profile per site collections.
This list is at this location for each site collection <SiteCollectionURL>/_layouts/15/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=0
If you delete users from this list their man will drop off when you see it in the lists
